3 works in steel
2014

As part of a group exhibition at Make.shift Art Space entitled ‘Metal’, I created an installation of three works. ¬†Stem is a slender forging evoking a sense of growth, Hollow is a large form reminiscent of a hollowed out old growth stump, and Bellingham Bay is a topographic study of our city’s perimeter.

Each of these sculptures explores using two separate parts, joined to create something more: growth, collapse and a place. ¬†They are objects that study how the shape of materials and ideas transform within a landscape that’s shifting in transition.
