The House
It’s been a monumental 3 years. From working the land, constructing the shop and building our home this has been an effort of a lifetime. Thanks to the design help of a good friend, the building expertise of my father-in-law and the construction help of a few good neighbors, over the course of a year we went from raw land and logs to a beautiful house. Sited in an old gravel pit on the slope of Blanchard mountain, the architecture aims to respond to the terrain of the site. Various species of wood milled from trees on the hill also gives this home a true northwest character.
